Power breaks - making it count
Itchy feet and a little cranky - two signs that a bush break are in order. The family need little convincing. Being out in the great outdoors, close to nature is our 'happy place'.
Start at the very beginning
Starting with our budget, I roll around in the world of bush break options, mostly online, trying to narrow down the options that will fit our little family just right. Not too far, not too close, truly child friendly...and the list goes on. Once you have found the spot that speaks to you - ticking most (or all, in a rare case) of the boxes, book! I have found that enlisting the services of a trusted travel agent really makes all the difference and can take the sting out of planning a particularly intricate holiday. I am, mostly by default, the designated holiday planner in our family. With a career in travel and an insatiable appetite for it, I give in to these passions at every given opportunity.
Best laid plans
Expect the unexpected. When planning a safari trip, try to stop researching once you have settled upon your destination. Instead, allow yourself to dream away - it has a way of keeping you engaged in your daily grind till you get there. Watch this space.
